  • Cluckingham Palace

In Cluckingham Palace resides a large chicken family who have deemed themselves the rulers of the forest kingdom.  The majority of the chickens in this flock are laying hens who were either dumped or destined to be culled after their egg production decreased.

  • Dew Drop Inn

    Text to come!

  • Graceland

Elvis resides in this domain and keeps a very close eye on all of his ladies!  The one key rule for this flock is “Our Roost Our Rules” because Elvis is the spiciest roo we have ever cared for!

  • House of Helios

Helios is the guardian in this flock and he looks after his ladies who were surrendered after their egg production decreased.  The girls had to show Helios how to be a chicken because, prior to moving to the sanctuary, he was kept in a pitch black closet for most of his day to prevent crowing.

  • Ozz Man Inn

This flock is home to our disabled duck crew.  The ducks who struggle with mobility, for various reasons, are at home in this protected area.  It comes equipped with ramp for their dug-out pond that provides easy swim access!

  • Roo-Mates

This is the home of our bachelor flock!  Roosters are the number one animal we are asked to take.  We have created this space where only the boys roam and there is crowing all day long!

  • Shabby Chic

This flock resides in our forest area where there is plenty of entertainment for a chicken and they even have their own deck!

  • Splash Pad

This is where the spicy water fowl reside!  Be prepared to be on alert for a quick nip from Gus the goose or be accosted by the Quackheads, a brother trio who will make you smile with their eagerness to see you.

  • Terry’s Place

This home is named in honour of Terry, a disabled rooster, who guarded this area until his passing.  Terry had splay leg, but that didn’t stop him from protecting his flock.  This area is home to birds with diverse needs.

  • The Quack House

These ducks reside in the garden area and they are the more easy going duck flock at the sanctuary.  They spend their day bathing and searching for grubs in this year round sun spot!
